The 1947 501® jean was ready for the changing times. However, it still carried the features of the familiar, classic 501® jean. For example, the watch pocket rivets were back after the wartime gap. Additionally, the curvature detail in the rear pocket was no longer painted as in wartime — Levi's® reverted to the original stitched design, but taking on a different shape. Thanks to the new double stitch technology, the famous double curved stitch could be mass-produced with an exemplary size and design, and was no longer dependent on the sewing skills of individual workers.
